William Laval "Buster" Eubanks, 74, of Jefferson, SC formerly of Camden and Lugoff, South Carolina passed away on March 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family after being diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), Parkinson's and Alzheimer's in 2019 and 2020.
Buster was born on March 6, 1947 to the late William Adam and Lavetta Munn Eubanks of Jefferson, formerly of Camden. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Constance "Connie" Glover Eubanks; his daughters, Robin L. Eubanks of Jefferson, SC and Kristy (Robert) Bartlett of Columbia, SC; grandsons, Jordan (Udell) Craven of San Mateo, CA, William Riley Bartlett and Adam Jameson Bartlett, both of Columbia, SC; sister, Marsha (Kenneth) Cauthen of Lancaster, SC; brother, Timothy K. Eubanks of Camden; friend and "son", Asher (Hunter) Burnett of Patrick; Buster's canine companion, Prissy and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Cheryl Perry Eubanks, and brother-in-law, George M. Glover, III.
Buster graduated from Camden High School in 1966 and served in the Army National Guard Reserves. He worked at DuPont in Lugoff, and retired with 25 years of service. He then worked at Jefferson Auto Parts until Jan. 2020. He was a master mechanic, and would always go out of his way to keep his family's automobiles in top shape.
He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church since moving to Jefferson in 1992, where he spent time serving as a deacon. He was a former member of Lugoff First Baptist Church as well. Rarely found resting, Buster lived an active life full of hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, working on and racing cars, working on trucks and tractors, raising goats, camping and most frequently, enjoying life on his farm. However, his favorite activity was spending time with his grandsons who loved him very much.
Special thanks to Regency Southern Care of Chesterfield, especially Crystal, Beverly and Kristen. Their excellent hospice care and knowledge helped the family tremendously. Additional special thanks to Duke Neurology and Dr. Andrew John Liu and Dr. Sneha Arun Mantri. Their empathy, compassion, treatment and care went above and beyond.
The family wants to thank everyone who has sent messages and cards, brought food and never stopped praying for Buster and his family. His local community in Angelus and Macedonia Baptist Church family were beacons of warmth in troubling times. We are forever grateful for your support, love and kindness.
