Mr. William James "Wild Bill" Cox, III, 76, of Pageland, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Monroe, NC. Mr. William James Cox was born on January 20, 1945 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to the late William James Cox, Sr. and Mavis Tichborne Cox. He worked for Mobil Oil for many years before he moved to South Carolina. Wild Bill was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and was an animal lover. Wild Bill looked forward to spending time with this friends, socializing and talking about the old days. He would help anyone that was in need. He especially looked forward to going out to eat. He served in the United States Navy. His favorite place was Mickey's Restaurant. He is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Cox. Mr. Cox is survived by his daughter, Trish Cox Boyer (Dave Williams) of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Devin Boyer (Hannah) of Galax, VA, Tyler Boyer of Galax, VA and Alyssa Boyer of Charleston, SC and great grandchildren, Leon Boyer, Claire Boyer and Jeremiah Boyer all of Galax, VA.
