Terry "Papa T" Wood, 68, of Wingate, NC passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 in Monroe, NC. Terry was born on December 4, 1954 in Greenville, SC to the late Charles William Wood and Evelyn Wright Wood. Terry never met a stranger and would try to make everyone around him laugh and find a silver lining in every situation. He loved to talk and was a big story teller. He enjoyed racing and loved to work on cars. Terry enjoyed magic, boating, fishing and anything outdoors. He enjoyed taking pictures and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister, Sheila Wood Duncan. Terry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Donna Melinda Ray of Lebanon, IL; three sons, Shaun Wood of Liberty, SC, Geoff Wood (Melissa) of Liberty, SC and Jason Wood of Charlotte, NC; step daughters, Celia Worley of Union Mills, SC and Heather Ray of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, Ronnie Wood (Pat) of Gray Court, SC; sisters, Tammy Johnson and Kim Clements (Edwell) both of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Caden Wood, Madelynn Wood and Kinleigh Wood; extended family, Jennifer & Wayne Griffin and grandchildren, Tyler Buffkin, Amber Griffin and Lacey Griffin. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 W. McGregor St., Pageland, SC 29728.
